OPEX Group values your privacy. Your information is stored in a secure database and access is limited to authorized persons. In addition, we have contracted with selected companies in other countries to provide customer service assistance on our behalf. How do we collect information about you

When you register for an event and/or subscribe to any of our publications, the registration form includes privacy notices and requests for consent. Those notices (called privacy statements) specify in detail how information about you may be used and disclosed. In particular, you consent to us collecting, maintaining, using and disclosing personal information provided by you or by another person in accordance with the privacy statement in the application form and this policy.

The personal information we collect from these sources includes your salutation, name, job title, mobile number and email address. We also collect business information including your company name and address, business telephone and fax numbers, and a short company profile. We may also collect personal information about you from publicly available sources, or when legally required to do so.

The information we collect is used only to:

  • Verify your identity.
  • Assist you to enroll for our events or subscribe to our publications.
  • Promote our events and publishing titles to you.
  • Maintain and develop our database.
  • Share information from time to time with other professional organizations.

We do not collect personal information by unlawful or unfair means, nor in an unreasonably intrusive way. In particular, we do not use electronic harvesting software, nor do we use lists generated by such software.

How do we use and disclose your information

At times we use third-party companies to collect personal information and communicate with you via email or telephone on our behalf, in accordance with applicable law. In all such communications, we ensure that you can clearly identify us.

Security of your information

OPEX Energy employs strict security procedures to help ensure information is not misused, and to prevent unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

As part of our updating procedures, we ensure that any personal information no longer needed by us is either destroyed or modified so that you can no longer be identified.

Sensitive Information

OPEX Energy does not collect sensitive information about an individual.

Release and Permission to Use Company Logo or Trademark

As a partner company of OPEX Energy, any speaker partner (the “Company”) gives permission for OPEX Energy to use its company logo or registered mark for website information purposes connected with the business of OPEX Energy.

It is understood that OPEX Energy may use the logo or mark for information purposes relating to OPEX Energy ongoing seminars, including use in connection with seminars, speakers, or symposiums, regardless of whether the Company is a sponsor of that event.

OPEX Energy will not use the Company logo or mark in outgoing marketing emails or brochures, but may use the logo or mark for these purposes without further permission or acquiescence by the Company. The Company releases OPEX Energy from liability relating to publication or use of the logo/mark on its website.

The Company understands and agrees that if it discontinues its partnership with OPEX Energy, there may still be published materials in use that relate to OPEX Energy and reflect the Company logo or registered mark. OPEX Energy will use reasonable efforts to replace and update such materials periodically.
